Hi there…

You are receiving this email because you signed up for our well attended “Winter Gardening” class last February. Remember when we couldn’t wait for it to warm up? Be careful what you ask for, you just may get it!
We have arranged for Cheri Miller, of the Wyandotte Co. Conservation District to come to the library and give us her presentation on rain barrel construction and use on Friday Sept. 19 at 3pm in our community room. Attendance is free of charge to all but we do ask you to RSVP.
Cheri describes her presentation by saying…
“The typical workshop is a demonstration on how to build, install and maintain a barrel. I start with a solid barrel, make the cutouts, insert the hardware, then demo how to install with your guttering. I go over safety tips, maintenance tips and uses. I answer any questions as I go along. I will also provide informational packets.”
She also told me, “I would like to have at least 10 RSVPS a week ahead of time. To encourage early sign up, all RSVPS will have a chance at going home with one of two bird houses and or native flower seeds.”
Please RSVP by email me or by dropping by the Library. I am sure you will enjoy this gardening presentation.
Let’s make Cheri welcome to Tongie by getting a nice turnout for her presentation.
Share this information with your fellow gardeners.
